During our off-season winter months, Hemingway's By the Sea offers long term visitors special rates (see below). During the months of October, November, January, February, March and April, we have one week, two week and monthly rates for some of our rooms. Please check out the offers below. All of these long term offers are self-catering (no breakfast or other daily services). Victoria has a very mild winter and there is still lots to see and do during our off season. The city is much quieter from a tourist perspective and it is a great time to relax and enjoy Victoria. Did you Know... In the winter months Victoria does not normally get snow and if we do it only lasts a few days. Victoria's climate is warm in the summer and mild in the winter allowing golfers to enjoy year round play. Gardening is a year round passion shared by enthusiasts. Come visit our beautiful Island, "we are always in Season" During the Winter Season, which is considered by most to be the "off season", Victoria's enjoy the very mildest climate in Canada. Most of the rest of Canada is in sub-zero conditions, while Victorians might have to wear light jackets. We do get a bit of rain in the winter, but not anywhere nearly as much as other coastal area in British Columbia and when it rains, it warms up!
