Victoria, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island boasts Canada's mildest climate. This area is the sunniest spot in the province and the gentlest in Canada in terms of climate, environment, and lifestyle. There is an average of 2,183 hours of sunshine and only 26 (66mm) inches of rain per year.
Our summers are warm, dry and sunny during the day with sometimes a slight breeze so even when exerting energy you are comfortable. We do suggest packing a sweater and light windbreaker for cooler summer evenings. Average daily temperatures in summer range from a low of 8-10 degrees C. at night to a high of 20-24 degrees C. during the day. Temperatures seldom exceed 24°C. (75°F).
In the winter (Nov - Feb) remember your rain gear and warm sweaters. We will provide the umbrellas.
If you are planning more adventurous excursions, we suggest bringing appropriate gear including rainproof jackets, hiking boots, binoculars, cameras, day packs, swimsuits and towels, or water bottles.
